I know I am asking alot of questions but having just bought my miata and so many items to buy are the wind deflectors a great help or are they just for looks?

Sounds like you have the dreaded M virus. The only cure is to buy now while the urge is fueled by pure adrenaline. The Oris windblock is the best thing we have bought that adds to the dual comfort of driver and passenger.It has not been off the car since purchased 7/2001. Martin has a tendency to take drives in most temps. if the sun is shining- windows up,heater on high,top down,smiling faces. Enjoy!
