Well so far it looks like I should be able to be there, though I'm not sure I can make it if there is heavy rain as the stitching along the bottom of my rear window has recently become detached. What kind of stuff are folks doing to decorate their Miatas? I need ideas

We're hoping to come. What can we bring that will travel well in the heat of the Miata trunk for a 1.5 hr trip? Chips, brownies, drinks? Just let us know. Hey if he hasn't sold it, maybe Joel can bring his "Roaster" exhaust and cook wiennies and burgers. jeff IP: 205.161.152.169 |

Hey Jeff and Debra, Any of the items you suggested would be good. From the folks we know of so far we are planning for about 25. Martin said to tell you brownies are his favorite fruit. For everyone else with food questions ,think of what you would want to have at a picnic/cookout. Ed, Larry can give you ideas for decorations as he had his trunk looked like party central last year. S. IP: 12.77.88.153 |

A visit to Big Lots will yield untold choices of decoration possibilities. Barb picked up a nice flag motif banner for us to fly. Edward, your trademark antenna flag is certainly appropriate! Don't forget a big bag or 2 of candy to throw out to the parade watchers! LarryIP: 67.201.125.121 |

As of now we (4) will be coming. We'll bring some potato salad and chips. If my mother-in-law decides not to come we'll still bring food. By the way, I found some nice red white and blue ribbon in the crafts section at WalMart- two widths; it looks a lot nicer than crepe paper and should hold up better, too. Maybe it's too nice if we're trying to be tacky!IP: 216.98.91.147 |

Can you give us directions from 221 to your house? Doesn't it look like the best way for us to come would be Route 8 to 221 North to your house? A great drive, of course!IP: 205.161.153.191 |

Is it going to be possible to wash a car in Shawsville?I'm just wondering if you have water restrictions or not. I must wash the car but would much prefer to arrive early and do it there so its as clean as possible before the decorating. Also is there a contingency plan if this is rained out?

If anyone is wondering what to bring, we need dinner rolls for the ham and turkey. If you decide to bring them, please post it so we don't end up with 8 dozen rolls. We could use about 3 dozen.Ed, there is a .75 wand wash place next to the pizza place on 460 in Shawsville. I suppose the contingency plan is to "play it by ear" if it rains. -Martin IP: 12.77.89.204 |

OK My plans have changed a bit. My wife just informed me of a wedding this afternoon that I might be attending. It looks as though I might not be able to be in Shawsville until around 6 or so, unless we ditch the wedding (which is a very good possibility). Anyway I plan to be at the dinner, and I will bring a couple dozen dinner rolls. If Im not there by the time the parade starts I'll see you around 6 or so! IP: 68.66.21.80 |

OK ditching the Wedding, I'll see you guys at around 3:30. I am bringing 3 dozen dinner rolls. The weather doesn't look too promising, hopefully it will just be a quick cooling storm!!IP: 68.66.21.80 |

Our thanks to all who contributed to the Shawsville celebration! During the clean-up, we found a brown towel(giraffe motif) and a set of clear plastic salad tongs. Let us know their homes and we will return them. Sarah/MartinIP: 12.77.89.241 |

Martin/Sarah, The towel is ours, used it to wipe off the light rain on the 4th. You can just keep it for wiping down your car, with our compliments.IP: 128.173.139.167 |
